Later in the 2011 campaign, he participated in a summer baseball academic program with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Toles was subtitled a “league all-star.”

Later, Toles relocated to Chipola College, which is located in northern Florida. He was suspended from Chipola’s baseball team in 2012 due to a rule violation, though.

Professional career

The Tampa Bay Rays selected Toles in the third round of the Major League Baseball draft. He batted.281 in his first professional season with the Princeton Rays of the Rookie-level Appalachian League.

Toles was named the league’s Best Athlete and Fastest Baserunner by Baseball America. In 2013, he participated with the Class-A Midwest League’s Bowling Green Hot Rods.

Additionally, Toles spent two months in 2014 playing for the Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League.

He was initially warned by manager Jared Sandberg, who disapproved of him for not running quickly first. Later, the athlete was kicked out of a game for not pushing.

Toles left the squad a few days later for personal reasons, and he was eventually placed on the inactive list.

In August, Andrew played in six games for the Rookie Gulf Coast League.

Toles then appeared in spring training with the Rays. Additionally, for disciplinary reasons, he was dismissed earlier in the season. Toles didn’t play in the major leagues of baseball that year.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Andrew signed a deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers following the 2015 campaign. He started out with the Class A-Advanced Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League.

Later, Toles was traded to the Class AAA Oklahoma City Dodgers of the Pacific Coast League and the Class AA Tulsa Drillers of the Texas League.

He was asked to join the Dodgers on July 8, 2016.

Toles participated in his rookie MLB campaign. On that particular night against the San Diego Padres, he started in center field.

In his first at-bat against Andrew Cashner, Andrew had one hit in four at-bats, a double. Also against Josh Smith of the Cincinnati Reds, he hit his first home run.

He also hit his first grand slam on August 31 against Colorado Rockies pitcher Adam Ottavino.

This season, Toles scored a lot of points. He had a.314 batting average in 48 games with three home runs and 16 RBIs.

Dave Roberts, Toles’ manager, was very pleased with Toles’ rookie campaign. He hit.364 in 22 at-bats later in the season.

In 2017, Toles rejoined the Dodgers as a starter for the team’s Opening Day lineup. He was the primary leadoff hitter for the Dodgers for the first month of the period.
