College Career 

Brown studied at Stanford between 2010 and 2015. Due to a hip problem, Brown was forced to take a medical redshirt in his true junior season of 2012–2013.

He shot 47.5 percent from the field, 45.3 percent from outside the arc, and 78.5 percent from the free throw line in his redshirt junior season of 2013–14, averaging 12.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

The Cardinal’s NCAA Tournament run to the Sweet 16 earned him the Pac-12′s Most Improved Player award.

While averaging 14.8 points (sixth in the Pac-12), a team-high 6.9 rebounds (8th), and 2.5 assists per game as a senior, Brown helped Stanford win the NIT title.

Brown signed a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic on January 22, 2017, after being fired by the company on December 9.

Brown re-joined the BayHawks on February 2, 2017, following the conclusion of his 10-day contract.

Four days after the NBA D-League All-Star Game, the NBA star shooting guard was subsequently chosen for the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

Brown and the Minnesota Timberwolves reached a two-way contract on August 1st, 2017.

He will divide his time between the Timberwolves and the Iowa Wolves, their G-League affiliate, in accordance with the terms of his contract. The shooting guard joined the team on July 9.

On October 30, he made his Lakers debut in a defeat to the Sacramento Kings, coming off the bench to score five points.
