McDyess played every one of his 82 games, and over the course of the next two seasons, he turned into Detroit’s go-to player.

He then made a three-year commitment to the San Antonio Spurs.

In a victory over the Atlanta Hawks in January 2010, he recorded a season-high 17 points.
