Ashley Force Hood is a former professional racer who races Top Fuel Funny Car for John Force Racing. She was rated the sexiest athlete in an AOL Sports poll in 2007.

Childhood

Ashley Force Hood is a former Top Fuel Funny Car drag racer who participates in the team John Force Racing. Ashley Force was born and raised in the city of Yorba Linda, California, in the United States of America.

When it comes to her family, Force is the daughter of famed racer John Force and Laurie Force.

Hood has two sisters, Courtney and Brittany, as well as an older half-sister, Adria, in addition to her parents.

Education

Ashley attended Esperanza High School in Anaheim for her education. She used to be a cheerleader there, exactly like her sister Courtney. Ashley then enrolled at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF).

Force went on to get a B.A. in Communications with a focus on television and video in 2003. Ashley began drag racing shortly after graduating.

Similarly, as a Top Alcohol Dragster rookie in 2004, Hood won three of the season’s final five races, including the 50th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis.

Professional Career

Ashley began her drag racing career shortly after graduating. In 2007, she joined her father’s team, John Force Racing, and competed in a Mustang Top Fuel Funny Car sponsored by Castrol.

Not only that, but the father-daughter team made NHRA history by racing each other. Ashley surprised her father by winning with an elapsed time of 4.779 seconds and a peak speed of 510.24 km/hr.

Following her victory, Force advanced to the semi-finals and became the first female to compete in the national series TF/FC final round in October 2007 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Sadly, she was beaten on holeshot by Tony Pedregon. Ashley appeared to continue her losing run in the early 2008 racing season. Force dropped three consecutive games in Houston, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.

Force lost her first final round match of the year on March 30 in Houston to Del Worsham. Then, in Las Vegas, she upset Tim Wilkerson and became the first female racer in NHRA Funny Car history.

Similarly, her final opponent was her father, John, who was attempting to win the 1000th round of his career.

After all of those losses, Ashley won her first-ever NHRA Funny Car race on April 27, 2008, against her father. Similarly, the victory was a first for a woman.

On March 29, 2009, Force won the second race of her career at the O’Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals. Force won her fourth career number one qualifying at the Southern Nationals after losing to his old teacher, Jack Beckman.

Ashley defeated her partner Robert Hight to become the first female Funny Car driver to win in two distinct divisions. Not to add, Force finished second in points this season, the highest female finish in Funny Car history.

Accident in 2007

Throughout her athletic career, Ashley has been a fan favorite. However, she had a horrible event in her life throughout her childhood. Her teammate Eric Medlen died in an accident.

“I had never lost anyone that close to me. Eric was so much more than a teammate. He was like my brother.” 

Eric died as a result of severe brain injuries sustained in a testing accident in Gainesville, Florida. That, in fact, taught Ashley a far deeper lesson in the world of motor racing.

Ashley Force, a former female drag racer, was engaged in the profession for seven years. However, she only began professionally in 2007. But, despite the length, Ashley managed to get a lot of attention and create a record at the same time.

We don’t know where or when they met for the first time. However, based on the assumption, Ashley may have met after she began racing.

Nonetheless, the pair is each other’s biggest fan. Ashley gave birth to her first child, a boy named Jacob John Hood, on August 8, 2011. Noah Hood, the couple’s second son, was born later.

Similarly, the four-person family adopts two American Bobtail cats called Simba and Gizmo. Overall, the family is currently enjoying a joyful and pleasant existence.
