The 44th president of the United States (2009–17) and the first African American to hold the post is Barack Obama, full name Barack Hussein Obama II, born August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.

In Hawaii’s capital city of Honolulu, Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961. Before transferring to Columbia University in New York, he spent two years studying at Occidental College. It was then that he developed an interest in social activism.

Barack Hussein Obama Sr., the father of Barack Hussein Obama, was raised in a Luo-populated community in Kenya’s Nyanza Province. He received a scholarship to the University of Hawaii to study economics, where he fell in love with and wed Ann Dunham, a white woman from Wichita.

Obama moved to Chicago after locating employment as a community organizer. Obama spent more than three years in this position after being hired to lead the Developing Communities Project.

Barack enrolled in Harvard Law School after becoming aware of the drawbacks of working at such a localized level.

Obama performed exceptionally well at Harvard, ultimately rising to the post of Harvard Law Review President and becoming the first African American to do so.

Obama wrote a book called Dreams from My Father based on the experiences of his family after receiving his Harvard degree. He started working for Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a Chicago-based law company.

He enrolled at Harvard Law School in 1988, when he became the first African American to serve as the Harvard Law Review’s president, garnering widespread notice. When he eventually made it back to Chicago, he joined a little civil rights law company.

Obama has a lot of obstacles to overcome as the next president, including the ongoing threat of terrorism, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and the economic meltdown.

Obama was inaugurated in front of an estimated 1.8 million spectators and advocated substantial federal expenditure to boost the economy and restore American prestige abroad.

Three of his flagship initiatives were passed during his first term: an economic stimulus package, legislation to improve access to and the cost of health care, and legislation to overhaul the country’s financial institutions.

Obama also advocated for consumer protection initiatives, financial reform legislation, and a fair pay act for women. Obama became the fourth president to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.

A significant foreign policy obstacle is still the Middle East. Obama had presided over the assassination of Osama bin Laden, but a fresh Islamic State emerged during a civil war in Syria and started encouraging terrorist strikes.

With a treaty that prevented Iran from developing nuclear weapons, Obama aimed to control a hostile Iran.
