Beth Phoenix, also known as Elizabeth Copeland, is an American professional wrestler, singer, and color analyst.

One week later, Stratus officially debuted Phoenix, who then engaged James while he was off-guard in an attack. Phoenix said that James had “ruined her life” and that she would not allow her to get away with it before calling her “crazy” when James was eventually able to escape.

On the following week of Raw, following her bout with Torrie Wilson, Beth assaulted James. She defeated Michelle at No Mercy in October to claim her first WWE Women’s Championship.

In a two-out-of-three falls battle on the October 22 episode of Raw, she successfully defended her championship. Candice Michelle was hurt when Beth shook the rope, causing her to fall off the top turnbuckle and injure her skull.

Injuries

On the June 5, 2006, edition of Raw, Beth competed against Victoria while suffering from a fractured mandible, but she was still able to finish the bout and prevail.

Despite needing nine screws and a titanium plate put in her jaw, she spent a year recuperating from surgery, but Beth was only out for two months since she went back to OVW instead of the main roster.

On August 16, 2006, Phoenix returned to OVW following an injury on the main roster and beat Serena.

Phoenix joined Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness on the NXT commentary crew on May 15, 2019, instead of Percy Watson.
