Rapper Torence Ivy Hatch, also known as Boosie BadAzz and Boosie, is a native of the United States. In the 1990s, Hatch began rapping as a member of the hip-hop crew Concentration Camp.

Who Is Boosie Badazz? Early Life, Family, and Education

On November 14, 1982, Boosie Badazz was born in the country in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also goes by the name Torrence Hatch Jr.

He turned 38 years old in 2021. Boosie’s parents are Connie Hatch and Torrence Hatch, Sr.

His father was a heroin addict, and his mother was a school nurse. Torrence Hatch Sr. passed away in 1997.

Later, he started abusing narcotics as well. His seven siblings. He grew up in a neighborhood where shootings and drug usage were frequent.

How Did Boosie Start His Rap Career?

His 2000 first album, “Youngest Of Da Camp,” reached #96 on the Billboard R&B charts. His second album, “For My Thugz,” was released in 2002. In 2006, “Bad Azz,” his third album, debuted at the top of the rap charts on Billboard.

In 2008, Lil Boosie founded his own record label, Bad Azz Entertainment. He released his fourth album, “Incarcerated,” from prison after being arrested on drug-related charges. Boosie finished both his GED and his prison sentence.

He was released at the start of March 2014. In the same year, he started performing under the alias Boosie Badazz. Under his new name, he released his first album, “Touch Down 2 Cause Hell,” in 2015.

On the US R&B and Rap charts, the album peaked at number two, and on the Billboard 200 chart, it peaked at number three. He also released the album “BooPac” in 2017, in addition to the album “In House,” which was released in 2020.

Touchdown 2 Cause Hell and Life After Deathrow

The sixth studio album by Boosie, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, was initially scheduled for release on July 15, 2014, but the date was ultimately changed to September 23.

The album would face yet another delay until he disclosed the track list and specified a May 26 release date on April 22, 2015.

The album features 17 brand-new songs, including cameos from Chris Brown, Rick Ross, T.I., Keyshia Cole, Rich Homie Quan, and Webbie on the Street, who each made an appearance on the songs “On That Level” and “Like A Man.”

Boosie has experienced multiple arrests and incarcerations. In 2010, he was accused of first-degree murder and narcotics distribution with intent.

The prosecution later revealed that they thought Boosie might have been responsible for “at least five other homicides.”

In the end, the jury found him guilty of the narcotics charges but not the murder allegation.

Boosie was finally freed in 2014 when his attorney was able to establish that he had been set up by informants.

Bad Azz Music Syndicate

Boosie Badazz and Taquari “TQ” Hatch established the record label Bad Azz Music Syndicate.

TQ suggested rebranding Bad Azz Entertainment while Boosie was behind bars due to the numerous unqualified artists and associates that began representing “Bad Azz Ent” without Boosie’s consent.

In October 2021, Boosie came under fire once more for tweeting an anti-gay rant toward Lil Nas X.

Soon after the publication of Bad Azz, Boosie revealed that he had type 1 diabetes, which had been diagnosed in childhood. In April 2020, he asked followers on Instagram to call him so that he could find insulin glargine, also known as Lantus, in the Jacksonville area.

On November 25, 2015, Boosie revealed that he has been given a kidney cancer diagnosis at the age of 33. Surgery was successful in removing cancer.

On November 14, 2020, Boosie was shot in the leg after attending a candlelight vigil for the rapper MO3 in Dallas, Texas. This day also occurred to be his 38th birthday.
