On September 12, 2010, he took the field for the first time in an NFL contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Britton was a member of the Denver Broncos, who won Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016. However, the squad released him on August 30, 2016, when he resisted taking a pay cut.
