Well, Brooke Olzendam met Andy Collins for the first time while he was living in Southern California. She used to take the commuter bus to Portland to present the “Talkin’ Ball” show while working as a television producer.

Collins was the University of Oregon quarterback when the two soon after began dating.

In 2011, after dating for more than a year, the pair exchanged vows. The couple was hitched in Seattle and then relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Andy’s Sudden Death

After returning from their house-hunting trip in August 2011, Brooke Olzendam and Andy Collins stayed at a motel. Andy was exercising at the time, and Brook stayed home to iron the garments.

After numerous unsuccessful calls, she finished her task of ironing and went downstairs to hunt for Andy.

Soon after, she noticed the ambulance and fire engine rushing to the scene, and when she couldn’t see him, she returned to the room.

Then, she received a call from an EMT informing her that Andy had passed out while using the treadmill. He was being revived by a nurse as she rushed in, and the ambulance arrived.

Even though no one talked to her, Brooke understood that something was seriously wrong, sending a chill down her spine.

“THEN THERE WAS A PRIEST GIVING HIM HIS LAST RITES. I JUST KEPT SAYING, ‘PLEASE, COME BACK.’ I WAS HOLDING HIS HAND WHEN THEY SAID HE WAS GONE.”

Overall, they demonstrated that Andy Collins had a fatal heart attack. Even Andy’s postmortem report stated that the smaller-than-average arteries surrounding his heart were the reason for his premature mortality.

Andy Collins of Occidental College won the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s offensive player of the year honor three times. He participated at first as a transfer student from the University of Oregon between 2004 and 2006.
