Early Childhood, Family

On September 29, 1985, Calvin Johnson, a former wide receiver, was born in Newnan, Georgia.

Calvin Johnson Sr. and Arica Johnson, Johnson’s parents, were the parents of the child.

His father worked for the Southern Pacific as a railroad employee. Arica, on the other hand, managed the Atlanta School division.

Calvin’s parents moved after he became two years old. But when he was three years old, the retired football player moved to Tyrone, which is 20 miles from his birthplace in Newnan, Georgia.

Calvin is not only his parents’ kid, either. His three siblings are Erica Johnson, Wali Johnson, and Elan Johnson. Nothing more about Megatron’s siblings is really known.

High School Career

To pursue his education, Calvin enrolled at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia. Johnson had outstanding athletic talent and excelled in baseball and football in high school.

After completing his further education, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution named him one of the Super Southern 100. Additionally, Johnson was among the top 10 wide receivers in his nation.

For nine years, he was with Detroit. He averaged 11,619 yards, 83 touchdowns, and 731 receptions between 2007 and 2015.

However, his fans wept when Calvin, then 30 years old, announced his retirement from the NFL on March 8, 2016. Even though he was at the peak of his game, he decided to permanently quit due to health concerns.

However, his nine seasons in the NFL are preserved in gold lettering, so football fans will never forget his legacy.
