Maddie married Christian Stoutland, a fellow Pepperdine student and collegiate baseball star, after finishing her studies. In the middle of the COVID epidemic, the two married in February of 2020.

She was a Valley Christian High School volleyball player. Dilfer was a four-year letter winner at his alma mater.
