American-born basketball player Cassius Winston, who plays for the Washington Wizards, has a two-way deal with the NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go.

When Winston was inducted into the Hall of Fame, he was already a point guard. He won the Big Ten Player of the Year award and two First All-Big Ten honors.

His supply chain management concentration was part of his business major. As a result, he worked in Lansing as a law clerk for the entire summer of 2017.

Death of Sibling

Zachary Winston, his younger sibling, committed suicide when he was 19.

While Kathy was a freshman on the Albion College basketball team and Cassius was a member of the basketball squad, both men were related.

In Albion, close to Erie Street, he was killed after stepping in front of an Amtrak train. Several reliable reports claim that he appeared to purposely step in front of the train.

Professional Life and Career

Winston enlisted at the University of Detroit Jesuit in Detroit, Michigan.

During his senior year in 2016, his team won the MHSAA Class A State Championship with his assistance. He was awarded the title of Mr. Basketball of Michigan in the interim.

In 2020, the player finally earned induction into the Catholic High School League Hall of Fame.

University Career

From 2016 through 2020, Winston participated in collegiate basketball for the Michigan State Spartans men’s basketball team.

In 35 games during his rookie season, he averaged 6.7 points and 5.2 assists. Cassius averaged 12.6 points and 6.9 assists per game while starting every game as a sophomore.

He received third-team All-Big Ten Conference recognition in the same epoch. Winston received a similar designation as the Big Ten Player of the Year in March 2019.

The Associated Press designated him a preseason All-American for the 2019–20 campaign.

In a January 2020 victory over the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team, the athlete notched a career-high 32 points and added 9 rebounds.

He was selected to the First Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media after the regular season.

Winston had an 18.3 point and 5.9 assist average in his final season.

A career in the PA career

Winston was chosen by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 53rd overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

In November 2020, he signed a two-way contract after being transferred to the Washington Wizards.

A Washington Wizards affiliate squad called the Capital City Go-Go withdrew from the contest.

The NBA G League’s Erie BayHawks then offered him a contract. He debuted for the squad in February 2021.

Winston also consented to a second two-way deal with the Wizards in August 2021. He participated in seven games for the Wizards during the regular season of 2021–2022.
