Valentino Couture show by Pierpaolo Piccioli was based on Rome’s Spanish Steps. Check out all the celebrities present at the show!!
Valentino is organized every year by Piccioli with confidence. This year’s Valentino’s show was Barbie-themed (pink). He had staged the fall Valentino collection with the inspiration of a sacred theme of Rome’s Spanish Steps. It also symbolizes general ethnicity.
Piccioli said in a press conference that,
“This is a deeply personal collection, because it’s all about the history of Valentino,”
IN 1959, Valentino Garavani founded his couture with his partner Giancarlo Giamatti. Firstly, it was located in Gregoriana, it was a small street from the church Trinita Dei Monti. It was at the top of the Spanish steps.

Piccioli took the same inspiration in his fashion and wanted to be holding it in the same location where it belongs to. He named the collection “THE BEGINNING”. Piccioli further gave details saying that he worked for 23 years. Furthermore, now he feels to reveal how much he is in today’s Valentino and how much it consists in his identity.
He felt the need to “understand how much of myself there is in today’s Valentino, and how much of Valentino there is in my identity.”
Moreover, he inherits the concept of the beginning saying that it brings the idea of a promise, and couture means a continuous new starting. He mentions that’s the way he feels because every beginning brings about the idea of a promise, and of the future.
He further adds by saying, This is also a concept inherent to the couture practice. According to him, couture is a continuous beginning, as you have always to start anew, without predetermined patterns or maps.

Florance Pughat at the Valentino Haute Couture fall 2022 show.
The most controversial dress was obviously by none other than Florence Pugh. She wore a sheer barbie-pink gown for the fashion show!! Florence wore an eye-catching transparent dress for the show and knowingly addresses her see-thru nipples!!!
She was in the campaign saying “FREE THE FUCKING NIPPLES”. Pugh had her nipples exposed and to address that statement feels like she was seemingly doing it for the attention.
She posted some pictures on her Instagram with the dress. Quite unique, quite bold, quite fashionable… She captioned her Instagram post saying,
“Technically they’re covered?

Later again she posted the post with the same dress but with a very long caption, including her see-thru nipples
“I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during, or even now after,” she wrote.
“It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers, what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be.”
She continued, “So many of you wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’, or how I should be embarrassed by being so ‘flat chested’.”
However, her fans actually appreciated her boldness and commented on her positive impact.
