Criticisms

Even though the term “robbery” is frequently misused and is sometimes tinged with bias, there are few things that MMA fans find more upsetting than a fight being inserted incorrectly.

UFC on ESPN 8 featured a trio of questionable fights, similar to UFC 249, the show that took place a week earlier, and the commotion around them was so swift and loud that we looked at all three of them.

Let’s now examine the match between Song Yadong and Marlon Vera, which undoubtedly generated the most criticism from the MMA community. Just fewer of the following are the answers:

Few of these responses were encouraging, while the majority were critical of Vera. People believed Vera had been robbed.

“I was deeming it was maybe a split choice, but when I heard it was a common choice, I felt good, but I didn’t do well in this game.

I feel like I acquired a lot from this game; when I have the turn, I will critique this fight and get more practice for when I come aft.”

Net Worth

Marlon Vera’s net worth has been calculated in a variety of ways because it is difficult to predict his spending habits.

Numerous top competitors also receive pay-per-view cuts, support funds, and other “locker room” or exclusive optional extras the UFC frequently pays, which are not disclosed to the general public.

Marlon Vera’s fight purse, however, is thought to be $65,000. After winning the game against (Wuliji Buren) at UFC 227), he had more money in his wallet for the UFC fight.

According to the claims, Vera received $68,000 for defeating Buren in the subsequent bout, which included $32,000 for appearance fees, $32,000 for prize money, and a $4,000 sponsorship incentive payment.

He earned $65,000 more for each fight in 2020, and he will earn $70,000 more if he defeats O’Malley at UFC 252.

The Vera family had a lot of hardship. Ana Paula, their oldest child, suffers from the rare neurological condition Mobius diagnosis, for which Vera set up a GoFundMe page.

In one of the interviews in 2018, Vera stated,

“It’s something I aspired to do so that people can fuse, and so I can figure with the help of the people that support or follow me; the people who know my story know that I want to fight for my family and that I fight to complete my elder daughter’s surgery.”

In June 2018, Vera acquired sufficient funds for that procedure and carried it out successfully in California.

Since Ana Paula’s extraordinary neurological ailment prevents her from having any facial emotion, Vera could still see Ana Paula grin nearly two years later while watching The Ultimate Fighter Latin America.

By sharing Vera’s GoFundMe page online, well-known UFC fighters like Fabricio Werdum, Carlos Condit, Derek Brunson, and Bec Rawlings also contributed to his cause.
