Chris Tucker is an American comedian and actor. Tucker is most known for his appearances as James Carter in the “Rush Hour” film series.

On August 31st, 1971, Christopher Tucker was born in Atlanta. He is Mary Louise and Norris Tuck’s youngest child. Chris is the youngest of six kids in his house. His father use to run a janitorial company.

Tucker was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, and after graduating from Columbia High School, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor and comedian.

Tucker appeared on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam in 1992. In 1994, he made his film debut in House Party 3, and the following year, he and N.W.The rapper Ice Cube garnered more fame in the movie Friday.

He appeared in the movies Money Talks and The Fifth Element in 1997. A star in the unreleased spy comedy Double-O-Soul, he also had a supporting part in Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown. He had cameo appearances in Tupac Shakur’s “California Love” and Michael Jackson’s “You Rock My World” videos.

Tucker appeared alongside Jackie Chan in the successful 1998 film “Rush Hour” directed by Brett Ratner. In their roles as the mismatched police partnership, Chan and Tucker received high appreciation from many critics. With the first-weekend revenue of $33 million, the action-comedy movie took the top box office slot. Over $244 million was eventually made by the movie globally.

After the Rush Hour movie’s enormous box office success, Tucker’s career took off. He later starred in Rush Hour 2 in 2001 and Rush Hour 3 in 2007.
