Hunter participated in two training camps and off-season activities with the New York Knicks the same year. Following that, he rejoined the Mad Ants in October 2010 before being released after two months.

Hunter later played for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors under Don Nelson.

Hunter was re-acquired by the Mad Ants at the conclusion of his career, but he was released again just a month later.
