A professional basketball player with the National Basketball Association’s Cleveland Cavaliers, Collin Darnell Sexton is an American. He was an Alabama Crimson Tide collegiate basketball player. Sexton received the McDonald’s All-American honor in January 2017. He was dubbed the “Young Bull” and taken by the Cavaliers with the eighth overall choice in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Collin chose the Alabama Crimson Tide and signed his Letter of Intent on the same day, or on November 10, 2016, despite having a ton of choices as one of the best recruits.

Career in College

Sexton decided on the University of Alabama, where he played under former NBA player coach Avery.

On November 25, 2017, he scored 40 points while playing with a reduced roster for the majority of the second half of a game against the University of Minnesota.

Following the draft, Sexton debuted in the NBA Summer League on July 6, 2018, scoring 15 points while pulling down seven rebounds.

On November 24, 2018, he beat the Houston Rockets 117–108 while tallying a career-high 29 points.

From March 8 to March 22, he became the first rookie since Tim Duncan in 1998 to score at least 23 points in seven straight games.

He was also the only rookie in Cleveland history to record at least 23 consecutive points.

As a result, he was selected to replace the injured Tyler Herro in the Rising Stars Game during the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend.
