After that, he decided against studying in favor of continuing his professional wrestling career. He then started competing in amateur mixed martial arts matches, going 8-0 overall.

Before joining the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) in 2014, he had a TOK score of 5-0. (Technical Knockout).

On April 10, 2016, Razor faced Francis Ngannou in his first professional fight at UFC Fight Night 86. However, he was defeated by TOK after the second round.
