Damien would be driven to football summer camps all over the Southeast by Asper’s wife, Carolyn.

Regarding his parents, as of 2018, Damien Dozier’s father had completed seven of the 17 years he was ordered to serve after being found guilty of selling cocaine in June 2011.

Furthermore, it is unknown whether he successfully completed his probation.

Dozier, therefore, missed a large portion of Lewis’s formative years in high school and college because he was imprisoned.

Damien Lewis attended Canton High School, to speak of his education.

He didn’t receive any offers from four-year colleges right out of high school because he wasn’t predicted to meet the academic requirements to play Division I football.

This time, he received numerous offers from colleges like West Virginia, Ole Miss, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

Initially, Damien served as LSU’s starting right guard and helped the team to a championship.

College Career

After being awarded a scholarship, Lewis enrolled at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He spent both of his seasons at Northwest Mississippi and was recognized as a second-team Junior College All-American.

He decided to transfer to LSU rather than accept offers from Ole Miss, Kentucky, South Carolina, or West Virginia after graduating a semester early.

Lewis started all 13 of the Tigers’ games in his first season at LSU and was named the starting right guard.

Lewis played all 15 of the Tigers’ games as a senior and was selected to the second team of the SEC as the Tigers won the 2020 National Championship.
