Damien Stephon Lewis, also known as Lewis, was born on March 21, 1997, with the astrological sign of Aries. He is the oldest of his parents Stacey Lewis and Damien Dozier’s three children, all of whom are brothers. Mississippi’s Canton was Lewis’ hometown.

After being awarded a scholarship, Lewis enrolled at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He spent both of his seasons at Northwest Mississippi and was recognized as a second-team Junior College All-American.
He decided to transfer to LSU rather than accept offers from Ole Miss, Kentucky, South Carolina, or West Virginia after graduating a semester early.
Lewis started all 13 of the Tigers’ games in his first season at LSU and was named the starting right guard.
Lewis played all 15 of the Tigers’ games as a senior and was selected to the second team of the SEC as the Tigers won the 2020 National Championship.

Professional Career
On September 13, 2020, Lewis faced the Atlanta Falcons in his NFL debut, starting at right guard and taking part in all 62 of the Seahawks’ offensive snaps.
Lewis was able to start all 16 regular-season games and the Seattle Seahawks Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams despite a few minor injuries.
In Week 11, while filling in for an injured center, he played 967 offensive snaps, including those in a game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Lewis performed well in pass protection ratings, allowing just 28 pressures overall in 633 pass blocking snaps.
He did, however, rack up 12 penalties, which was the most of any NFL guard. Lewis, however, was a top performer in the league at run blocking.

Pro Football Focus gave him an overall run blocking score of 81.5, which was second only to Quenton Nelson of the Indianapolis Colts, an All-Pro and Pro Bowler.
Lewis was selected for the Pro Football Writers Association’s All-NFL Rookie Team following a successful rookie season.
Injuries
Damien has experienced a number of injuries over the course of his professional career. His ankle injury was the first of his career, among them.
Damien also struggled with a groin injury that same year, which persisted into the first few months of the following year.
He suffered an elbow injury near the end of the year and a shoulder injury the same season.
Lewis suffered a right leg injury in the second preseason game against the Chicago Bears in August 2022 and had to be carried off the field.
