A further factor in his choice to play collegiate football was his experience at St. Joseph’s prep. D’Andre decided to play collegiate football at the University of Georgia after finishing high school.

D’Andre Swift | Career in College

After graduating from high school, D’Andre Swift enrolled at the University of Georgia. In 2017, he was a freshman in college.

Swift participated in that game as the third running back, after Sony Michel and Nick Chubb, both future NFL stars. He appeared in a total of 15 games during his first season with Georgia.

Swift also had 81 tries to carry for 618 yards and three touchdowns throughout those 15 games.

Michigan Lions (2020)

D’Andre Swift made his NFL debut on September 13, 2020, against the Chicago Bears, after signing with the Detroit Lions. Swift scored his first career running touchdown in the same game.

Swift, though, fumbled a touchdown pass with a few seconds remaining in the game that would have given the Lions the victory.

The outcome was a 27-23 loss for the Lions against the Bears, extending their losing run to eleven games.

Later, against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6, D’Andre created a moment of magic and history.
