Daniel Alves da Silva, nicknamed Dani Alves, is a Brazilian professional footballer. He plays right back for Liga MX club UNAM as well as the Brazil national team.

Dani Alves | Early Life and Family

Daniel Alves was born on May 6, 1983, in Brazil to a middle-class agricultural family. He used to sleep in the cement and wake up every morning with back pain.

Alves played for the Bahia FC and made his professional club debut in 2001. His first season wasn’t great because he only made six appearances and failed to score any goals.

He didn’t have many opportunities to learn the game, though, as he was quickly replaced.

Despite being a right-back, he became the team’s main offensive force.

As a result of his five successful years with Sevilla, Alves rose to fame. After that, he paid €30 million to join one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, Barcelona, in 2008.

Transfer of Dani Alves to Juventus

On June 27, 2016, Alves transferred to Juventus for a free two-year contract. On August 20, he made his Serie A debut for Juventus against Fiorentina.

Alves left Juventus and on July 12, 2017, he agreed to a two-year deal with French team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

He participated in the 2017 Trophée des Champions on July 29, 2017, marking his PSG debut. For PSG, he made a total of 21 appearances and scored four goals.

After Kevin Trapp received a red card while a PSG player, he also switched to goalkeeping.

Dani Alves was also signed by So Paulo FC on August 1, 2019, for a contract that runs through December 2022.

Because he was given the number 10 jersey, he gained the reputation of an attacking midfielder.

Worldwide Career

Alves has also benefited Brazil’s national team. On October 7, 2006, he played against Ecuador in a friendly to earn his first international cap.

Alves participated in the 2007 Copa America for the Brazil team. He participated in four games, including the championship match against Argentina, winning 3-0 with him providing an assist and a goal.

The 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup semifinal win over South Africa, which Brazil won 1-0, featured Alves as a substitute. In the 88th minute, he then scored the game-winning goal.
