Early Career

DeVito began working at the “Eugene O’Neill Theater Center” in Waterford, Connecticut, immediately after receiving his degree. He applied for a part in the “In Cold Blood” movie after reading an advertisement.

DeVito began working as a car parker to support himself after being rejected for the role in the film. He quickly relocated back to New York, where he was offered roles in several off-Broadway productions.
