David M. Pollack is a retired American football linebacker who competed in the National Football League for two seasons. He suffered a career-ending injury in the second game of his second season.

David Pollack was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on June 19, 1982, to Norm Pollack and Kelli Pollack.

David had graduated from Shiloh High School in Snellville. Pollack was a natural athlete from the start. He was a terrific football player, a standout basketball player, and an amazing wrestler.

Later after, he was a senior in football and an all-state pick in class 5A. The Atlanta Touchdown Club honored him as Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Despite missing two more games due to a knee injury, he finished the season second on the team’s defense roster with 4.5 sacks, 22 tackles, with 6 assists.

In a July 2007 press release, Pollack said that he will not be playing in the 2007 ‘NFL’ season. Marvin Lewis, the head coach of the ‘Bengals,’ confirmed Pollack’s retirement from all professional sports on April 22, 2008, citing recuperation concerns.

Pollack pursued a new profession as a sports commentator after his ‘NFL’ ambition was cut short by this career-ending injury.

In 2008, he worked in the CBS studios and hosted a sports radio talk show for the Atlanta-based ‘790 The Zone.’
