Demi Lovato regrets making documentaries about her life and her struggles s she recently stated in an interview. She now feels like that wasn’t the perfect time and sobriety always works for her.

Demi Lovato will not make any documentaries about her life now. On August 22, while having an interview with Alternative Press, she stated that she regrets making documentaries.

As we know, Demi has released three documentaries and they all are about her life, struggles, and mental health.

Likewise, her first documentary was released in 2012 as Demi Lovato: Stay Strong. Following this, Lovato released another documentary in the year 2017, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated. 

Furthermore, both documentaries cover the struggles and the problems demi faced with her mental health as well as substance abuse.

Additionally, Demi released her third documentary in the year 2021, Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil. In this documentary, Lovato leaked about her drug overdose in 2018.

Also, she added facing heart attack, multiple strokes, and brain damage after using drugs. Though, this documentary also includes Demi’s life traumas about rape when she was a teenager.

During an interview with Alternative Press, Lovato stated,

“Honestly, I’m really sick of watching myself, and I think other people probably are too. And if they aren’t, then they can watch my music videos.”

Demi Lovato is clear now that she will not put her life story on screen. Further, she also explained this while promoting her new studio album, Holy Fvck.

The reason for not releasing a documentary from now on is that Demi herself is not clear about her thoughts. Moreover, in an interview, she also stated,

“I wish I would have waited until I had my shit figured out more because now it’s cemented. Sobriety is what works for me and nothing else.”

Apart from this, Lovato at the time of her third documentary release called herself “California sober”. Also, she allows herself to smoke weed and drink in moderation.

However, after a few months of the release, she quit everything and went for treatment. Now she is fully sober.

Demi told people that she won’t release any documentary from now onwards but she also said that she would use another way to explain her life.

And, Lovato also said,

“My story’s not done. So I want to be able to say by the time I’ve written a book, ‘OK, this is me grown up.'”
