Doja Cat announces on May 19 that she undergoes tonsil surgery after the infection. Similarly, the reason for the surgery is continuously vaping all day long and drinking wine.

How did we know about the surgery?

Doja Cat, the popular singer on Friday announces that she had surgery to remove an abscess from her left tonsil.

In her Twitter post, she stated

“Dr. just had to cut into my left tonsil. I had an abscess in it. My whole throat is fucked so I might have some bad news for yall coming soon.”

Similarly, she also added,

“Nah so my tonsils got infected before BBMAs and I was taking fuckin antibiotics but forgot that I was taking them and then I drank wine and was vaping all day long and then I started getting a nasty ass growth on my tonsil, so they had to do surgery today.”

Likewise, she also shares her surgery experience in detail stating,

“He poked up in dere [sic] with a needle twice and then sucked all the juice out and then he took a sharp thing and cut it in two places and squoze [sic] all the goop out in dere [sic]. I cried and it hurt a lot but I’m ok.”

Doja Cat also claims that she will quit vaping responding to a fan who asked if she planned to continue smoking. Moreover, the ‘Kiss Me More’ singer said,

“I’m quitting the vape for a while and hopefully I don’t crave it anymore after that.” 

In addition, the rapper continued replying to another fan,

 “Nah I’m too scared to hit it cuz my throat hurts so bad. I cried for hours. it’s not worth it.”

Is she canceling her upcoming shows?

The Say So singer shows her appearance on the platform on Friday. There she made an announcement that Doja have to go through another surgery. Therefore, Cat’s upcoming shows will be canceled for a few months or days.

Similarly, she tweeted regarding the information about her surgery saying,

“Hi, guys. I wanted you to hear it from me first. Unfortunately, I have to have surgery on my tonsils ASAP. The surgery is routine but the recovery is going to take a while due to swelling. That means I have to cancel my festival run this summer and The Weeknd tour.”

Furthermore, she added,

“I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.”

Doja Cat explains her struggles to get well from the infection. Because of vaping all day long and drinking wine after taking antibiotics, this harsh situation came along. Similarly, Doja is regretting a lot.

Likewise, she also stated,

“I’m addicted but I’m not weak. I was literally staring at my vape today that normally I’d hit a thousand times a day and hit it two times instead. I’ma try to go cold turkey for now but hopefully, my brain doesn’t need it at all by then.”

Furthermore, she also gave her explanation when people criticized her hesitation to quit immediately,

“That doesn’t help anybody and it just sounds condescending to anybody who’s actually struggling w nicotine addiction.”

In addition, she also shares her happiness with the love and care she is getting. Cat also wrote,

“yall bout to make me cry with all the reassurance. I appreciate it. thanks for being supportive. I love you.”

Similarly, Doja got nominated in 14 categories at the show in Las Vegas on Sunday. Likewise, she looks adorable in a black, angular, chest-baring Schiaparelli gown. Moreover, the gown was paired with a sheer beige chest wrap worn over Agent Provocateur gold metallic pasties.
