On March 10, 1982, Herschel Beahm IV, Dr. DisRespect was born. At California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he played NCAA Division II basketball and earned his degree in 2005.

The first video that Beahm released under the alias Dr Disrespect was a gameplay clip for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Late in 2011, he ceased making YouTube videos, and he was inactive for over five years. Controversies
Dr. Disrespects’ Twitch channel was suspended on June 11, 2019, after he entered a public lavatory at the location for violating Twitch’s privacy regulations and California Penal Code privacy restrictions. On June 26, 2020, Twitch suspended the Dr. Disrespect account.
The official Twitch ban statement claims that “As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community”.
On July 16, 20 days after his ban, he finally made his statement, telling PC Gamer and The Washington Post that he still doesn’t know why Twitch banned him from the network.
Twitch and Dr. Disrespect each claimed that their legal dispute had been resolved on March 10, 2022, but neither one of them acknowledged any wrongdoing.
