With an average of 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game as a rookie, he had a fantastic performance in his game.

Frank made 41.7 percent of his shots from the field, 32.7 percent of his three-point attempts, and 66.2 percent of his free throw attempts.

Mason showed himself to be more deserving in his second year by improving his marks.

Mason connected on 49.0 percent of his field goals, 47.1 percent of his 3-point attempts, and 79.4 percent of his foul shots.

Mason won the Big 12 Player of the Year award without any opposition thanks to his 20.5 points and 5.1 assists during the regular season.

In addition, he was unanimously chosen for the first team of All-Americans, making him the NCAA’s 29th first-team pick in Kansas basketball history.
