Frank Bryan Ntilikina is a French professional basketball player who competes for the Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association. He was chosen by the New York Knicks with the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Ntilikina was born in Belgium and was raised in Strasbourg, France.
Frank Ntilikina | Early Life & Family
On July 28, 1998, NBA player, Frank Bryan Ntilikina was born in Ixelles, Belgium. He is the youngest child of Faustin and Jacqueline Ntilikina. His two older brothers, Yves and Brice, also reside with the family.
Even though Frank was born in Belgium and holds French citizenship, his ancestry can be found in the African nation of Rwanda. His mother, Jacqueline, had emigrated to Europe in the 1990s when Rwanda was embroiled in the Civil War.
When he was three years old, his entire family later relocated to Strasbourg, France. He was reared in that new city and had a very early interest in basketball.
But it was his brothers who first sparked his love of the game. They had originally played the game in the neighborhood park in Belgium with their younger brother.
Their favorite sport was basketball, and his siblings excelled in school. Frank, on the other hand, was primarily interested in basketball and began playing in tournaments when he was five years old.

Basketball Career
Frank has been playing basketball with St. Joseph Strasbourg School since he was five years old and has acquired the necessary skills. In 2013, he eventually joined the youth program of the French basketball team.
He spent two years at the academy and moved up swiftly.
Due to his outstanding performance, he received an invitation to the 2014 Jordan Brand Classic International match, where he had an excellent time. He had six points and three rebounds in around 23 minutes of play.

He led Strasbourg’s youth team to victory in the 2015 French Youth League Championship before making his professional league debut.
During his two seasons playing for the LNB Pro A team SIG Strasbourg, he consistently delivered exceptional performances. In 2016 and 2017, he won back-to-back Pro A Best Young Player honors.

NBA Career
Contrary to expectations that the Dallas Mavericks would select him, Frank was taken by the New York Knicks with the eighth pick in the first round of the draft.
He became the second-youngest player in the NBA that season as a result of that agreement.
The Knicks made him play against the Oklahoma City Thunders on October 19 as a mystery player, but they lost 105-84. They had faith in his abilities, therefore he participated in 78 games during his debut NBA season.

Sadly, his performance wasn’t up to par. Only 5.9 points and 2.3 rebounds were all he could muster per game. The only facet of his play that was noteworthy was his assists per game.
However, Frank didn’t make much progress, and after a disappointing fourth season, the organization eventually traded him to the Dallas Mavericks in 2021.
His performance is still poor, averaging 4.3 points per game in more than 50 games, despite the fact that he is playing for the Mavericks during the current 2021–22 season.
International Career
