Frank Ocean will not perform this weekend at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. His fans will be disappointed by this news as his leg was injured in weekend 1.
Frank Ocean will disappoint his fans at weekend 2 of Coachella 2023. The sources announced he will not perform at the festival due to personal reasons. He had an ankle injury as per the sources the previous weekend.
Similarly, it is heard that Blink-182 will replace him but it has not been announced on social media as of now. The festival promoter, Goldenboice stated Frank Ocean not being able to perform at the show due to his leg injury.
On Wednesday, Frank Ocean was still listed on the performing side on Sunday on the Coachella app. However, some source says it is not confirmed whether his place will take by Blink-182 or not. Likewise, according to the festival promoter,
“Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella. After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1.”

Further, Goldenvoice also added,
“Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity. On doctor’s advice, [Ocean] is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.”
Blink-182, an American rock band showed their performances on Weekend 1 as a surprise less than 48 hours before the festival. Tom DeLonge was featured as a frontman and it was their first performance in nine years. Travis Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian also enjoyed Blink-182’s performance at Coachella 2023.

Frank Ocean on the other hand was an hour delayed during his first performance after six years. People have invested their time and money just to watch Frank’s performance and he again gave them a reason to dislike him. Likewise, Ocean only roamed around the stage and played his studio versions of songs. His performance on the first weekend was really off and fans could not see his face due to hiding behind some scaffolding.

This is not the first time Goldenvoice has had to change a headliner. In 2022, Kanye West also canceled his performance and was replaced by EDM titans Swedish House Mafia and R&B superstar, The Weekend.

Björk, Willow, Jackson Wang, etc were featured in the photo highlights of Coachella weekend 1, but Frank Ocean was not featured. Also, special guests like Ciara were mentioned for closing the festival big but they didn’t mention Ocean’s name
