American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and rapper Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn is better known by his stage name Future.
Early Life and Family
On the 20th of November, 1983, Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He went to Decatur’s Columbia High School. He acquired the nickname “The Future” when he joined the band The Dungeon Family.
Additionally, he was urged to hone his songwriting and rapping skills and pursue a career in music by his cousin Rico Wade, a member of The Dungeon Family and a record producer.
As a matter of fact, Wade also provided his young cousin with a break from the streets. Future has repeatedly credited his cousin as the creator of his distinctive sound over the years.
Career
He began putting out mixtapes in 2010, including “1000,” “Dirty Sprite,” and “True Story.” Gucci Mane and Future collaborated to create the album “Free Bricks.” Also, Epic Records contacted Future in the fall of 2011.
After signing the record deal, he almost immediately dropped the mixtape “Streetz Calling,” which went on to become his most popular mixtape. In the spring of 2012, his debut album, “Pluto,” was availed. Four of the album’s tracks found success, including “Turn on the Lights,” which reached its peak at number two on the American hip-hop and R&B charts.
Further, he released his second album, “Honest,” in 2014. In 2015, he released his third album, “DS2,” and in 2016, he released his fourth, “Evol.” In February 2017, he launched his album “FUTURE”. A week later, he released “HNDRXX,” his second album.
Also, the mixtape “Wrld on Drugs” by Future and the late rapper Juice Wrld, was released in mid-October 2018. It debuted behind the soundtrack for “A Star Is Born” by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga at number two on the American charts. His tenth top-ten album in the United States was “Wrld on Drugs.”
His seventh studio album, “Future Hndrzz Presents: The Wizrd,” was published in January 2019. It served as both the soundtrack to the movie “The Wizrd,” which debuted on Apple Music on January 11, 2019 and his seventh studio album.
Future’s solo EP “Save Me,” which was released in June 2019, debuted at number five on the American charts.
Additionally, he collaborated with Drake on the songs “Life Is Good” and “Desires,” both of which were released in January 2020.

Touring
There have been two North American tours by Future. The initial one was Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour in 2016. The second was Meek Mill’s Legendary Nights Tour in 2019.

In February 2019, Future received his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for his work on the song “King’s Dead,” which was included on the “Black Panther” soundtrack.
