George was born on September 19, 1989. He was born to his parents George Springer II and Laura Springer. His father used to play some college football and his mother is a top gymnast. Moreover, he has two sisters named Nicole and Lena.

George went to Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut, and completed his high school from there. Furthermore, he attended the University of Connecticut and had an outstanding career out there.

George started his career with New Britain High Scholl in New Britain, Connecticut. However, later he transferred to Avon Old farms school in Avon. He played some baseball with the Avon Old Farms baseball team.

George enrolled at the University of Connecticut where he played college baseball for the Connecticut Huskies baseball team. Also, Springer was named as the 2009 Baseball America Freshman All-America First Team at UConn.

Springer began his professional Career journey with Houston Astros. Springer became the highest MLB draft in the University of Connecticut baseball history. Astros signed springer with $2.52 million.

Houston Astros:

George made his MLB debut on April 16, 2014, at Minute Maid Park against the Kansas City Royals. Springer hit the first home run of his MLB career against the Detroit Tigers on May 8, 2014.

Toronto Blue Jays: Retirement

In 2020 he ended his long and beautiful career with Houston and moved to Toronto Blue Jays. Springer is currently with the Toronto Blue Jays for a six-year, $150 million contract. However, he missed the training and the beginning of the season because of his injuries. Finally, he made his debut on April 28.

On August 5, 2018, Springer sprained his left thumb while sliding into the base on a stolen base attempt against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Astros faced really bad times without Springer on their side. Springer made his comeback on August 17 and led Hustons to their second straight American League West Division title.

Geroge missed the entire training and beginning of the season with his new team Toronto Blue Jays in 2021 due to injured quadriceps in spring training. He finally made his debut in April. However, just after a week, he had a quad strain and remained out of action till June.
