Early Career
Gio has always been interested in baseball and has been since he was very young, as we have discussed. The gifted player pursued his baseball career with no holds barred, as well.
Urshela made his professional debut for the Dominican Summer League Indians and the Arizona League Indians at the young age of 17 after signing with the Cleveland Indians as an international free agent.

The young player, who was selected as the Indians’ fourth-best prospect by MLB.com in 2015, was promoted to the Columbus Clippers. On June 8, 2015, Urshela was promoted to the major leagues due to his development and performance.
Professional Career
