Hank Aaron was an American professional baseball player who played Major League Baseball from 1954 to 1976.

Hank, popularly known as Hammer, spent 21 seasons with the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves.

Aaron made an early impact as a hard-hitting infielder at the age of seventeen. He was signed as the Clowns’ shortstop for the 1952 season by the owner of the Indianapolis Clowns, a professional Negro American League team.
