He was also a consensus four-star athlete and one of the country’s top-ranked players. He was ranked fourth among defensive tackles by The Scout, sixth by Rival and 247Sports, and seventh by ESPN.

In his last year at Bishop Gorman, Garret led a strong Gorman defense with 54 tackles, including tackles for loss, sacks, and interceptions.

Haskell Garrett later signed with Ohio State and committed to play football again for Buckeyes. In 2017, he was indeed a member of the US Army All-American Bowl.
