Tracy Lauren Marrow who is better known by his stage name Ice-T, is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, and producer whose music genres are mainly hip hop, Gangsta rap, rap metal, hardcore punk, and Political rap.

Who is Ice-T? Childhood, Parents, Education, and Nationality

Ice T’s full name is Tracy Lauren Marrow. He was born in Newark, New Jersey, United States in the year 1958.

On 16 February, Ice celebrates his birthday. As of 2022, Ice- T is 64 years old.

His mother’s name is Alice Marrow whereas his father’s name is Solomon Marrow.

Likewise, his father is a Mechanic by profession and his mother’s name is a homemaker. Similarly, he has no any sibling.

As we move toward’s Ice’s educational background, he attended Crenshaw High School in, the United States.

After that, he graduated from Local College in the United States.

Furthermore, Ice- T holds American nationality and his horoscope is Aquarius. Thus, he belongs of the African-American Descent ethnicity.

How did Ice-T start his Career?

Moving towards an Ice career, his music career began after a four-year stint in the army.

Likewise, in 1987, he released his debut album “Rhyme Pays” after signing with Sire Records. Thus, the Ice-T Album, a gold-selling album, boosted his star power. So, his 1991 album Original Gangster was regarded as a watershed moment in the evolution of gangsta rap.

However, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1979 because the money he earned from selling marijuana and stealing car stereos couldn’t support his girlfriend and daughter. Thus, he returned to music after his service.

Similarly, he signed with Sire Records in 1987 and released his debut album, ‘Rhyme Pays,’ after honing his craft by making music for videos and releasing recordings. Luckily, the album was certified gold.

Meanwhile, his 1992 album Body Count featured the contentious song Cop Killer which told the story of criminals seeking vengeance against racist police officers.

So, during this time, he worked with heavy metal bands. Also, he performed a duet with Slayer in the 1995 film Judgment Night, as well as on Black Sabbath’s Forbidden.

However, since 2002, he has played Odafin “Fin” Tutuola on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” Tutuola is an undercover narcotics officer turned Special Victims Unit officer in his role.

In addition, he had previously played several wonderful roles before landing this incredibly successful role. Thus, when he began acting in 1991, he put his music career on hold.
