And in the former pair’s ongoing case ie. defamation trial by borrowing lines from the super famous films.

A news reporter named Alana Mastrangelo from Breitbart tweeted on Thursday, a side-by-side video of Heard’s quotes on the stand this week and a scene from the 1999 film “The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Alana wrote, Amber Heard: When I was around Johnny I felt like the most beautiful person in the world—then he would disappear.
Mastrangelo then pulled a line from “Talented Mr. Ripley”, The thing with Dickie, it’s like the sun shines on you and it’s glorious—then he forgets you and it’s very cold.
However, others were disputing online that the comparison is a stretch, while one argued, It wasn’t the same words.. but that’s what you do when you make the character your own.
There was one person who commented in response to the comparison, “Seems like a stretch… but she’s putting on a show.
A separate user agreed with the former, writing, “These are two completely different quotes?”

Then another chimed in, You do realize that anyone who has been in a relationship like hers has likely similarly described their partner, right?

Mastrangelo was convinced that Amber had taken inspiration from several movies, noting that she also mention a “dirty carpet” after Depp allegedly hit her was “reminiscent of scenes from Netflix’s “Maid”.
Alana also highlighted Amber’s claim that Johnny once told her “I’d rather cut my hand off than ever lay it upon you” as similar to a line from the 1945 drama “Mildred Pierce,” in which the star says, “I’d have rather cut off my hand.
While Heard declined to comment on the movie quote debate. However, Johnny’s legal team appears to believe the actress is putting on some sort of an act on the stand at court.

According to a Page Six source, In a statement, Thursday, Mr. Depp’s counsel correctly predicted their opening statements last month. Whereas, Heard did indeed deliver’ the performance of her life in her direct examination.
Amber’s rep responded soon after, saying in part, As evidenced by the statement just released, Mr. Depp’s defamation claim is falling apart so rapidly that his counsel is turning from prosecutor to persecutor.
Furthermore, Depp is suing Heard for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she wrote he abused her sexually.
Although his name was not in the article, it has been written after filled a restraining order against her ex-husband in 2016 over the case.
The defamation case trial is still ongoing! Johnny is asking for $50 million in damages whereas Heard countersuits for $100 million,
