When Cher posted a picture of her boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards’ stunning diamond ring on Twitter on Sunday, she ignited engagement speculations.
According to Page Six, the “really amazing” sparkler could be worth a quarter of a million dollars, according to Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro.
“The gem expert jokes that Cher’s ring is “as beautiful as any shoe on the Las Vegas strip,” adding that the “huge” pear-shaped center stone “seems to be north of 6 carats” —similar in size to stones worn by music legends like Cardi B, Gwen Stefani, and Ariana Grande, among other music icons.
“Pear-shaped diamonds of this carat weight are incredibly rare, especially high-quality ones,” Fried says. “The band looks to be custom too, with a tapered design flanking the diamond. This ring took careful planning, design, and craftsmanship. It’s as captivating as it is timeless.”
“THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E,” Cher, 76, tweeted on Christmas Day while posting a picture of the ring in its open box. An hour later, she clarified that she was only highlighting her 36-year-old beau’s neon green fingernail polish.

“On paper, it seems kind of ridiculous,” Cher stated earlier this month on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “But in real life, we get along great.”
