Professional Background

In 2012, he signed with the Rookie-level Missoula Osprey of the Pioneer League, beginning his professional baseball career.

He participated in baseball in 2013 with the Class A Advanced California League’s Visalia Rawhide. Sadly, he was only able to play in 64 games because of a hamstring injury.

In the sixth round of the 2012 MLB Draft, Lamb was selected by one of the professional American baseball teams, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Lamb was subsequently invited by the Diamondbacks to spring training in 2014.

The young player received assistance when he was sent to the Reno Aces of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League after playing for the Mobile Bay Bears of the Class AA Southern League in 2014.

He didn’t join the Diamondbacks again until the end of June 2019 after fully recovering, and he concluded the year with a.198 batting average.

He concluded the 2020 Diamondbacks season with a batting line of 116/.240/.210 and no home runs in 50 plate appearances. On September 12, Jake left the Diamondbacks organization after that.

On September 14, 2020, he signed a league contract with the Oakland Athletics after being designated by the Diamondbacks (one of the American professional baseball teams). He presently participates in games for the Oakland Athletics club.
