George Adams, the father of NFL great Jamal Adams, was born on December 22, 1962, in Lexington, Kentucky.

After graduating from Lafayette High School, he enrolled at the University of Kentucky. He was a running back for the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Adams declared for the draft after starring in Kentucky’s outstanding college football season.

In the first round of the 1985 NFL Draft, Adams was selected by the New York Giants.

George participated in the NFL from 1985 to 1989 for the New York Giants and from 1990 to 1991 for the New England Patriots.

When the Giants defeated the Denver Broncos 39-20 to win the Super Bowl and their first NFL title since 1956, George Adams and the team made history.
