Joe Jonas shared his regrets about the role of peter Parker in the legendary movie “The Amazing Spider-Man”.
Anyone in this world would regret not taking part in the series now! Similarly, Joe Jonas recalls the time when he felt “DEVASTATED” for losing the role in the movie. He recalls on the week’s episode of the “Just For Variety” podcast, that he was very excited about the role but then Andre Garfield got it in the same year.
“In the moment, you’re destroyed or you’re defeated. But you realize this person was brilliant. I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man, and I was so, so excited, and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it,” The 33-year-old Jonas brother recalled
Not just that Jonas also admitted that Andrew Garfield was the right one for the role. The film Spiderman”s director Marc Webb used to be the music video director which made Joe also believe that he would take him in.
“But I remember that was a big thing at the time, going back for callbacks. But you know what? I love the process of auditioning and putting yourself out there and having to prove yourself,” the singer said recalling himself being as a part of the sudition process.

In the podcast, they asked if Jonas still had the spider suit, to which he replied that he was not sure.
Jonas replied, “No, but I’m sure I had one that I would try on occasionally back in the day.”
Joe didn’t get the role but from the show, Garfield and Emma Stone dated for several years and also co-starred in part two of the movie. The 39-year-old Garfield changed his role and personality in the last year “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which introduced Tom Holland and also the first spider-man Tobey Maguire.
Jonas missed out on a lot of superhero movies and their success. But then he channeled the same energy into his music and he is way successful.
Jonas also mentioned that during the pandemic when he had no option but to stay at home, he actually sharpened his acting skills. Does that mean we will get to see him in movies soon?
