Further, John played collegiate basketball at Boston University, where he led the America East Conference in scoring as a junior in 2009-10, averaging 19.2 points per game.

European Career

John was unsigned in the 2011 NBA Draft. On July 5th, 2011, the athlete joined Chorale Roanne Basket of France for the 2011-12 season.

Following that, John briefly played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Miami Heat, Cajasol Sevilla of Spain, Minnesota Timberwolves, BCM Gravelines of France, San Antonio Spurs, & Beşiktaş of Turkey.

G-League Career

On December 23rd, 2015, John was acquired by the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League.

Similarly, In 37 games with the Charge, John averaged 3.1 rebounds, 16.0 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 30.2 minutes per game.

In addition, John committed to join the Beijing Eastern Bucks of the Chinese National Basketball League after the 2016-17 NBA Development League season concluded. Again, John did, however, depart Beijing without playing a single game for them.

Journey to The NBA

On April 11th, 2016, John signed with the Boston Celtics. Similarly, On April 19th, John made his Celtics debut, coming off the bench for one minute in an 89-72 playoff defeat to the Atlanta Hawks.

Further, On August 31st, 2016, the Celtics released John. Moreover, John joined the Cleveland Cavaliers on September 26th, 2016, but was dismissed on October 22nd after three preseason games.

Again, On September 8th, 2017, the Cleveland Cavaliers signed John to a two-way deal.


According to the terms of the agreement, John will split his time between the Cavs and their G-League affiliate, the Canton Charge.
