Early Life, Family & Education
On August 10, 1965, John Levell Starks was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Irene Starks is his mother (mother).

Starks spent just one season playing basketball for the varsity team at Tulsa Central High School.
He enrolled in Rogers State College after graduating from high school. While attending college, John participated extensively in basketball games.

Starks used to hide his other player’s equipment to make up for the other player breaking into his dorm room, which got him kicked from the squad.
Following his 1985 expulsion, Stark was transferred to Northern Oklahoma College. He spent five days in jail for that previous robbery incident.
In order to obtain a business degree, Starks was also transferred to Tulsa Junior School.
When he was in school, he used to play for the school team, and one day Ken Trickey, a former coach at Oral Roberts University, saw him playing.
Starks only played for Tulsa Junior for one season. Later, Starks was awarded a scholarship to Oklahoma State University, where he ultimately decided to complete his studies.
Starks was clearly a very naughty child; as a result of his deeds, he was forced to change schools frequently. But his basketball career was going well.

Stark chooses to continue playing basketball after finishing his education because he is good at it.
But in 1988, after going undrafted in the NBA, he signed with the Golden State Warriors and made his professional debut.
Starks didn’t participate in games for very long either, and as a result of his injuries, he was forced to compete at a lower level. But John wasn’t doing very well at the beginning of his profession.

However, John gets his chance to shine in 1990 when he signs with the New York Knicks. He, unfortunately, suffered an injury during practice and had to miss some time. The Knicks were unable to waive him because of his injury.
Mid-Career
As a result of his success with the Knicks, John returns to his former team. Before leaving Golden State, he was essentially a mediocre player.
But when John returns to State, he already has a reputation. Unfortunately, he is also known as “The Dunk.”
But John Starks only stayed for a year. He is chosen once more in 2000, and he will play three seasons for the Chicago Bulls.
But Starks was only there for a year or four marches. But he wasn’t doing anything at the time because he was getting older.

John was an excellent player, but due to his conflict, he was never given the chance to represent the NBA.
However, John gave it his all, and as a result of his diligence, he is now well-known. John never allowed it to affect his professional life.
Retirement
However, Starks was unable to make a bigger difference in the final years of his career. He suffers a string of defeats and is unable to sign with an NBA powerhouse.
Despite having 10,829 career points, he nevertheless chose to quit in 2002. Even after he retired, he continued to be passionate about his sport. As a result, he starts working for the Knicks as an alum.
Additionally, he was named the US Basketball League’s head coach of the Westchester Wildfire and Maulers in 2003.
