Jolene also started taking part in numerous motocross competitions. She won both the lifetime National WMA Pro National Series and the CMRC Ladies Ontario Provincial Champion in 2004.

She also competed in the WMA Pro Nation finals held in Glen Helen, Hangtown, and ThunderValley, winning each of them in a certain ranking.
Soon after, in 2006, she once again achieved history by setting a female backflip distance record of 60 feet ramp to dirt.
Jolene completed the backflip that made history with ease because of the instruction and direction of her skilled best friend, Travis Pastrana.
She also competed in the WMA Pro Glen Helen and the WMA Pro National Hangtown, finishing 16th and 18th respectively.
Sadly, her injuries prevented her from taking part in the remainder of the season.
2007-2010
Jolene returned to competition in 2007 after overcoming her injuries, winning the TransCan Canadian Grand National Championship and establishing herself as a lady’s champion.
Soon after, she became the first woman to backflip a dirt bike into the Grand Canyon, setting a new world record in the process.
She also competed in the Budds Creek and Steel City WMA Pro Nationals in 2007, placing 13th and 15th, respectively. The stuntwoman set a stunning performance in every competition.
The first woman to backflip a motocross bike and the longest female backflip were both records that Jolene set in 2008.

In keeping with this, she came in at number eleven at the WMA Pro National Southwick competition.
Van Vugt also made history by becoming the first female to jump at MOD FMX in Austria in 2008 and by becoming the first woman to backflip a full-sized dirt bike ramp to ramp in 2010.
She also took part in the 2010 X-Games Women’s Supercross, where she placed ninth.
Later that year, as FMX & BMX, she took part in Nitro Circus Live, a Live-Action Sports program in Australia.
2011-2015
Jolene continued to perform in 2011 for the Nitro Circus Live New Zealand Tour as an FMX & BMX Performer.
She gained the attention of the film industry rapidly and was a key cast member in the Nitro Circus 3D picture.
Van Vogt also established a record in 2012 for the fastest land speed while using a motorized toilet.
She participated in the NCL European Tour as well and performed the one-hand backflip and combo trick for the first time on a woman.

Jolene, who was performing at the Nitro Circus Tour in 2015, regrettably sustained serious injuries in a horrible accident.
She had reconstructive surgery on her forehead, nose, eye socket, and right arm, with a protracted recovery period. Van Vugt said in an interview:
“Unfortunately, some of our work does include injuries, some of which are a little more serious than others. I think this is one of my worst wounds.”
She eventually made a full recovery following numerous operations, and she did it with the respect and encouragement of all of her followers.
