Famous Argentine football manager Jorge Sampaoli most recently served as the manager of Atletico Mineiro.

The term “dedication” is very simple but extremely valuable. One of such persons with such virtue is Jorge. He is committed to his profession and dedicated to it.

Because he firmly believes in the power of optimism, Jorge loves to keep both himself and his team inspired. He thinks that anything can be changed by having a good attitude.

Jorge began as a young player before switching to management following a serious injury. He was just nineteen years old when he was forced to give up football due to a serious leg injury.

This kid was similarly injured at a fairly young age, breaking both his tibia and fibula.

Later, in 2004, he began his thrilling management tenure with Coronel Bolognesi in Peru and continued with brief but successful stints at O’Higgins in Chile and Emelec in Ecuador.

Professional Life and Career

In October 1991, when he was 31 years old, Jorge managed Club Atlético Alumni as a temporary manager. Mario Bonavera, a different manager who remained at the office, was out on a vacation.

He played defensive or protecting midfield during the season and also worked as a fitness teacher.

Although they didn’t officially part ways until 1993, Jorge was appointed manager of the club’s youth department the following year.

Later, in 1994, he was appointed the first team’s head coach. He guided the group to the Liga Casildense de Futebol championship game when they lost to the Arequipa squad CA 9 de Julio.

He made it to the finals again the following year but lost to the same team.

A blow to both Peru and Juan Aurich

After four seasons with Argentino in Primera B Metropolitana, Jorge joined Juan Aurich’s Peruvian team in 2002.

Sampaoli finally joined the Chiclayo club in Primera División, the top professional team in his field.

Later, after winning the game, he played in his debut professional match against Universitario, where he lost 2-1.

Furthermore, Carlos Flores scores a wonderful penalty kick on February 24 to equalize the game after he and his fellow countryman Martin Vilallonga were awarded another penalty.

In the 92nd minute, legendary and seasoned midfielder José del Solar finally set up his team.

But Jorge only oversaw eight games during a dry stretch in Juan Aurich.

Here, five games were lost, two were drawn (Coopsol Trujillo and Alianza Lima), and only the game against Cienciano, which was won 2-0 thanks to goals from César Sánchez and Carlos Flores, was won.

Finally, Sampaoli was let go from the “Celestes” towards the end of 2007. He gave up finishing his Peruvian expedition as a result.

Chilean and Ecuadorian charms

As 2007 came to a close, Jorge arrived in Chile to take over O’Higgins. The team’s third-place result in the 2008 Apertura proved that it was a difficult nut for larger Chilean clubs to crack.

Later, they were eliminated by the dominant Universidad de Chile in the playoff quarterfinals.

However, Jorge had a difficult year the next year as “La Celeste” ran an unconventional campaign.

All of them finish in eighth place, and despite qualifying for the 2009 Apertura Playoffs, Unión Espaola of Santiago defeats them 6-1 in the second leg of the quarterfinals. Sampaoli was sacked by the union in August 2009.

Sampaoli was afterward contacted by Emelec, who requested his managing responsibilities for 2010.

As a result, after suffering in the 2010 Copa Libertadores and being eliminated in the group stage, the team had a successful run in the social or local competition and took first place in the tournament’s opening round.

All things considered, this earned them a berth in the 2010 Copa Sudamericana and 2011 Copa Libertadores preliminary rounds.

Liga de Quito, which had had a lead in first place in that year’s second half but ultimately lost it, played Emelec in that year’s matchup.

Sevilla and Chile

Following a successful tenure as the manager of Universidad de Chile, where he helped the team win three league championships and the 2011 Copa Sudamericana, Jorge was announced by Chile’s Asociación Nacional de Ftbol Profesional in 2012 to take over as the head coach of the national side.

Reviews and outcomes have changed as a result of Jorge’s strategy, with Chile winning three of their first four World Cup qualifying matches.

Thus, under Jorge, Chile switches to Marcelo Bielsa’s energetic, high-pressing style of play, the Argentinian coach on whose advice Jorge relies.

2015 saw Chile win the Copa America on home soil under the direction of Jorge Sampaoli.

Later, he is included with Spaniards Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique on the final three-person shortlist for the 2015 FIFA World Coach of the Year award.

He left his position as Chile’s manager on January 19, 2016. Jorge presents himself as a daring and ambitious manager and coach in general.

Argentina

On May 20, 2017, Jorge was declared to assume charge of the Argentina National Team by the Argentine Football Association.

He no longer oversees the national squad, though, and is now a member of Club Atletico Mineiro.

Criticisms | Jorge Sampaoli

Once the South American country lands in Russia, neither the citizens nor their supporters have much hope.

Those individuals had just squeaked past a hat-trick from Messi in their final match away in Ecuador.

Lionel’s exploits were, however, unstoppable because Argentina’s team lacked passion, constancy, and a manager who could lift them.

The 3-0 win for Croatia over the United States and the stalemate with Iceland serve as excellent examples of all three of these downsides.

Later, their 2-1 victory over Nigeria to advance to the round of 16 concealed the flaws, and France duly eliminated them in a nail-biting 4-3 match.

Again, the connection between Messi and Sampaoli was one of the main talking topics during their four games.

Moreover, cameras detect It pretty much says it all when Sampaoli asks Messi if he should substitute Sergio Aguero against Nigeria.

However, in his book Mundial es Historias, Argentine journalist Ariel Senosiain of TyC Sports and Ole has revealed some stunning new information.

Messi and Javier Mascherano later met with Sampaoli and two other players following the 3-0 loss to Croatia.

According to Marca, their disagreement was that “We don’t swallow what you say, we don’t trust you longer, and we want to have an idea.”

The two players responded, “everything,” when Sampaoli asked them what they wanted an opinion on.

Messi replied, “I never gave you a name. You bid me ten times which members you wanted me to see on and which ones I didn’t.”

Sampaoli claims in one of the remarks that Messi can’t get along with his teammates. This had an impact on many Messi supporters and sparked a debate.

Michael ICARDI

According to several speculations and stories, Mauro ICARDI was once informed by Jorge SAMPAOLI, the coach of the Argentina National Team, that he would not be traveling to the World Cup as a player.

According to rumors, Jorge SAMPAOLI spoke with AC Milan’s Lucas BIGLIA and Inter’s Mauro ICARDI after speaking with the Juventus tandem of Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Paulo DYBALA.

The bad news is that SAMPAOLI informs the Inter captain that he will not represent Argentina in the World Cup.

Additionally, according to La Nacion, ICARDI wasn’t selected for the World Cup because he didn’t play well with the rest of the squad on the field.

Huge outrage was sparked by this announcement. Sampaoli received harsh accusations and criticism over it. Fans of ICARDI were furious with him. The non-fans were also depressed about this.

Having the ability to flirt

Everyone is aware of Jorge Sampaoli’s comparison of possession to flirting from back in 2015. The incident occurred when Chile fell to Uruguay in a World Cup qualifying match in Montevideo.

Even though the side had 73% of the possession, the game did indeed take a dramatic turn. For example, the post-match interview showed Jorge’s quote.

Jorge, however, responded with his event when asked why they lost the game despite having a high possession rate.

According to him, the girl with whom he had a bar flirtation and spent the entire evening just departed with another male that she had met only moments earlier.

The match’s indirect explication was plain.

Drunk Driving

This well-known coach was once observed driving after drinking. He and his friend Vidal were both arrested.

The coach apologized to the police officer but then insulted him after getting caught. Later, this sparked a tremendous issue.

After receiving so much jeering, he eventually offered an apology to the policeman. Despite the cooling off of the topic, the haters reignited it. His vaunted personality was diminished by this.

Respond to criticism

When touchline footage from his team’s 2-1 victory over Nigeria appeared to show him looking for Messi’s promise to make a move, the former Sevilla manager was made fun of.

Jorge’s detractors interpreted this as evidence that Messi is genuinely in charge of the Argentina team amid speculations of a dressing-room uprising. However, the 58-year-old has argued that this is untrue.

The Mirror reports him as stating, “I remember the conversation with Leo quite well, but whatever I say to my players is private, and I won’t reveal it. “ It was only an accident. It didn’t match the description at all.

“I was telling him that we would use some of the strategies we had discussed to put more hitting guys on the field. And that’s all.”

“Will I continue to be a coach? I’m here because of a contract, and I’m happy to be there. I will fight every day as long as I can stay here.”
