Aldo da Silva, also known as Jose Aldo, is a Brazilian professional MMA fighter. He is currently a bantamweight fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He also fought at featherweight, where he became the fourth and final WEC Featherweight Champion.
Early Life and Education
Jose Aldo, his sisters Rosilene and Josilene Souza, and their parents José Aldo Sr. and Rocilene Souza were all born in Manaus, Brazil. Furthermore, his older sister threw the crib and he has a permanent scar on the left side of his face.
His father was a bodybuilder, and he began assisting him at the age of six. However, as a child, Jose preferred football over all else and aspired to play professionally someday, but fate had other plans for him.
As a result, he trained on the streets, where he often ran into bullies who started fights. He began learning capoeira after becoming tired of being physically assaulted during arguments; this was the beginning of his journey.

Aldo expressed an interest in learning jiu-jitsu, to which the instructor agreed. Later he decided to pursue jiu-jitsu as a career from that day forward.
Aldo arrived in Rio at the age of seventeen with only a pair of clothes and no money. But he had no fear; all he knew was that Aldo needed to learn to fight, so he participated at the Nova Unio academy. After a few years, he achieved the rank of black belt.

MMA Career
Not surprisingly, Aldo won his first fight with a head kick in under 18 seconds. In a year, the boxer cruised to six consecutive victories.
