Justin Gatlin, an American sprinter who has since retired, ran the 60, 100, and 200 meters. He won the 100-meter gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 100-meter world championships in 2005 and 2017.

He also won the 200-meter world championship in 2005 and the 4 × 100-meter relay world championship in 2019.

The Olympic gold medal in the 100-meter race and the bronze medal in the 200-meter race was won by Justin the following year. He finished his studies at the university at the same time.

Justin then won the 2005 World Championship. He established his 100-meter record the next year in the Qatar Athletic Super Grand Prix, finishing in 9.76 seconds.

Four Years Ban

They originally made Justin’s failed test public in April 2006, and they then verified it in July. He had a high testosterone level. But after that, he began to claim innocence, claiming that he had never intentionally used them.

Trevor Graham, Justin’s coach, mentioned Christopher Whetstine, Justin’s massage therapist, throughout the conversation. Trevor speculated that Christopher may have applied a testosterone-containing lotion without their permission.

Christopher later refuted the assertion. Later, USADA declared that Justin will have an eight-year track suspension. Indeed, Justin successfully argued for a shorter term, saving him from a permanent ban.

As a result, after careful deliberation, they reduced the sentence to four years. According to ESPN, Justin volunteered as a coach at his high school throughout those years.

Comeback on the Track

Justin Gatlin was really excited about the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. In addition, he made history by becoming the oldest man to qualify for the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2020 and win a medal.
