Kate McKinnon leaves “Saturday Night Live” after 11 years!! She reveals the reason behind it- All I ever wanted to do!!
Kate McKinnon gives details on the reason why she left the show after a decade of working on the show. The decision to leave the show wasn’t that easy and the decision took a very long time. She revealed this on the show “Live with Kelly and Ryan”.
“I thought about it for a very long time, and it was very, very hard,” the comedian said.
“All I ever wanted to do in my whole life was be on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ So, I did, I loved it, I had the best decade, and then I was just like, my body was tired, and I felt like it was time.”
She had to prepare to leave the show for a very very long time and it became very hard. Working in “SNL” was the thing she wanted to do her entire life and she loved the experience. However, she was very tired and she felt like now is the best time.
She is also planning to spend her future on Saturday nights. She revealed in an interview that she has no idea what she is going to do. McKinnon gets very emotional watching the show, as she misses everyone from the show very much.
“I don’t know what I will do. I don’t know that I can watch the show yet because it’s too emo because I miss everyone so much,” McKinnon said
“It’s my family. It’s too emo. So, I think I’m just going to tape ‘The Bachelorette’ and watch it.”
Additionally, She further mentions that the characters of the show “Saturday Night Live” is her family and she is very emotional about everything. McKinnon joined the show in 2012 and she is one of the female cast who was in the show for a long run. So automatically it is very special for her.
In the overall decade of her work, she has earned 9 nominations for Emmy Awards. The most one was this year only in the opportunity of the supporting actress in a comedy series. The show is expected to air in September.

Fans loved her the most when she did an imitation of the former first lady of the USA, Hillary Clinton, Sen. Elizabeth Warren. This act of McKinnon was most remarkable and also the act of late Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Not just McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Kyle Mooney, and Aidy Bryant will be no longer working in SNL.
