Retired NBA player, Kenneth Thomas (full name Kenneth Cornelius Thomas) was born under the sign of Leo on July 25, 1977, to his parents Patricia Thomas and Calvin Thomas in Atlanta, Georgia.
In 1988, his family moved to El Paso from Atlanta, where he spent the majority of his childhood. Stephen F. Austin High School is where he enrolled.
But shortly after, Kenny changed schools and enrolled at Albuquerque High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kenny spent four years in high school before enrolling at the University of New Mexico.

After graduating from college, Kenny Thomas immediately declared for the 1999 NBA Draft. At the time, he was chosen by the Houston Rockets with the 22nd overall pick in the first round.
Throughout his three years on the team, he consistently led the group in rebounds and shot blocks. During the 2002–03 season, the Rockets dealt Kenny to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kenny spent the most time on the NBA stage with the Sacramento Kings after being traded to them a year later. Prior to signing up for the Memphis Grizzlies’ preseason camp in 2010, Kenny played for the Kings for five years.
Retirement
After eleven fruitful years in the NBA, Kenny Thomas made his official retirement from the league known in 2010. Kenny reportedly gave up sports when his playing time with the Kings began to decrease.
