Kim Kardashian bought the diamond Attallah cross pendant worn by the late Princess Diana on Wednesday. She purchased the famous necklace at Sotheby’s annual Royal & Noble auction.
Kim Kardashian loves to make collections of jewelry, and clothes worn by the strong women who are her inspiration. Recently, she bought a pendant necklace once worn by Princess Diana on Wednesday. People are criticizing her for this reason as they believe she loves digging things of those who are not alive. Similarly, the diamond necklace is probably 5.25 carats and Kim purchased it as per the sources. Likewise, we also heard that Kim Kardashian is so happy owning Princess Diana’s necklace which is equally popular and valuable.
Princess Diana wore the necklace on different occasions but it was mostly noticed at Birthright’s 1987 London charity gala. The charity was based on supporting the organization’s humanitarian work for those women who are going through pregnancy and childbirth. The late Princess of Wales aired up the chain with a royal purple Victorian velvet gown designed by Catherine Walker. Also, Kristian Spofforth who is Sotheby London’s Head of Jewelry stated,
“This is a bold piece of jewelry by its size, color, and style which cannot fail to make a vibrant statement, whether it be of faith or fashion — or indeed both. We are delighted that this piece has found a new lease of life within the hands of another globally famous name.”

Talking more about the cross pendant was first designed in the 1920s and it is so popular in the 2000s era too. So, we clearly know how valuable and beautiful the necklace is.
After it was first designed it was purchased by the late Naim Attallah CBE who is the former group chief executive of Asprey & Garrard. He gave the necklace to Princess Diana in the year 1980. In addition to that, Sotheby mentioned that the cross pendant wasn’t worn by anyone publicly until now.
Furthermore, Kim Kardashian made another news for buying this where everyone is giving their opinions on this matter. Before this, she also faced backlash after wearing Jean Louis’s gown at the 2022 Met Gala once worn by Marilyn Monroe.

Kim Kardashian is receiving hate after purchasing the necklace and it is all over social media. In the past when she bought Marilyn’s gown she faced backlash too. Despite the hate comments, she is still buying them and adding them to her wardrobes. Meanwhile, after the news, one user tweeted,
“She’s really trying to traumatize the ghosts of iconic women”
Another one also added,
“Thinking about kim k’s dedication to latching onto the already existing fashion legacies of dead people.”
On the other hand, Vivica A. Whitsett who is an actress and comedian added,

Moreover, Royal Family’s fans following and followers didn’t take this in a good way and they slammed Kim K for this. According to them,
“Diana has been exploited ENOUGH and for Kimberly to go out of her way to purchase something that should be in a museum is quite sickening and not in a good way.”
One angry fan wrote,
“This necklace should’ve gone to one of diana’s granddaughters. She gonna damage it somehow the way she damaged Marilyn’s dress”
However, Kim stated that she didn’t damage Monroe’s gown yet she was respectful and wore it carefully. She stated that she “did not, in any way, damage the garment.” Not only this, but Kardashian also faced backlash for her weight loss.
