A professional sprinter from Grenada who excels in the 200 and 400 meters is Kirani James CBE. In 2011 at the World Championships and in 2012 in London, he won the 400 m. James earned an Olympic medal at every level by winning the 400-meter silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 400-meter bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Anyway, Kirani James chose Alabama and committed himself to them. He immediately beat the school’s ten-year 400-meter track record of 46.46 seconds as a rookie with his time of 45.79.

Professional Life and Career
Kirani James initially made her professional debut at a London Grand Prix Diamond League event. He recorded a personal best time of 44.61 seconds right away, making him the year’s fastest man.
James won the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, the following year. With it, he turned 18 and became the youngest athlete to have a 400-meter victory on his record.

Additionally, the Caribbean Sports Journalists’ Association named him Sportsman of the Year in 2014.
James is currently one of the six-person Grenada team traveling to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, after several victories in between.

Grave’s illness
Kirani James struggled with exhaustion and subpar performance at the Drake Relays back in 2017. Following that, he got him examined, and that is how he discovered that he had Grave’s Disease.
